Kaye Thornbrugh (Managing Editor 2012- Spring 2013)

Kaye Thornbrugh is the former Managing Editor of the Sentinel. As a child, she wanted to be an Egyptologist—but when her fear of ancient Egyptian curses got the better of her, she turned to storytelling instead. She published her first novel, FLICKER (a YA urban fantasy), in 2012. The sequel, BRIGHTLY, will be published in 2013.

Kaye is the winner of a first-place Region 10 Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists for her feature writing.

Described by a previous employer as being a jack-of-all-trades-writer and a bit of a spark-plug, Christina enjoys writing hard news stories when she's not attending board of trustee meetings in her spare time.
