NIC women’s basketball beats Colorado Northwestern on sophomore night

North Idaho College women’s basketball defeated Colorado Northwestern Community College 55-43 Feb. 9 at Rolly Williams Court.

Hannah Love had 10 points and seven rebounds for NIC. Angela Woods scored eight points for the Cardinals.

“I thought our defense was solid,” said NIC head coach Chris Carlson. “Colorado is a good team. They tried to slow us down, but the Cardinals prevailed.”

NIC’s Georgia Stirton had six points and nine rebounds. Tori Davenport finished the night with eight points for the Cardinals.

“They (Colorado) defend well, they rebound well and really slowed it down,” Carlson said. “We were able to attack more.”
