NIC Men’s Soccer Team defeated Edmonds 3-0 in convincing fashion. Cardinals added another shutout to their resume while scoring three goals.

Elias Herman kicked off the scoring in the first half. Brady Ulen and Alec johnson added a goal each in the second half. Being a defenseman, goal scoring is something that Ulen has become accustom to early this season.

“Coach Ken Thompson likes it if i get the opportunity to push up and cause some havoc in the attacking third, “ Ulen said. “So when I get some opportunities I just go for it.”

NIC was able to get a shutout and this did not involve any changes to their plans on the defensive side of the ball.

“Our defensive strategy is always the exact same thing,” Ulen said, “We come out with the mindset that we are gonna get back on our shutout streak. We don’t really have a strategy, we just go out and we play our game.”

This shut out is their fourth of the season and gives them a 5-0 record of the year.
