Get to Know Your Student Government: Senator Elsa Goodsen

Elsa Goodsen, 19, Coeur d’Alene, Bioengineering – ASNIC SenatorElsa

Favorite Color: Purple, because it shows power and royalty.

Favorite Movie: “Miss Congeniality.” It just shows that women work hard and can earn a place in the world just as much as guys can, and it’s really funny and I love Sandra Bullock. She’s gorgeous.

How NIC should look a year after leaving student government: Market ASNIC as a whole, because a lot of people don’t know who we are yet. So we want to get out there and get a voice because right now we have literally no representation on the board of trustees. And that’s my project, is for the students to get representation on the board of trustees so we can have a say in their decisions.

Inspiration to join student government: Right when I met everyone [at ASNIC], when I got together and met them I was like; “Yeah, this is gonna be good. These people are gonna make a lot of changes and we’re gonna make a good change.”

Celebrity Crush: Theo James. He’s gorgeous.

Favorite bands/music: Slightly Stoopid, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sol, AER. I’m going to see Atmosphere next week too.

If A.I. could equal our free will and chose to take action against our society, would it be OK to press a button turning them off: Oh yeah. Because we’re in essence pushing a button to turn them on, they’re not even real if it’s artificial. I think so.
