Men’s Soccer Team Demands Win 4-1

The men’s soccer team defeated Treasure Valley CC on Tuesday, ensuring their number one spot in the east division of the Northwest Athletic Conference.

The Cardinals were down 1-0 early in the game when number 28 Chukar player Diego Diaz-Sanchez punched through the defense and put the ball in the goal.

It wasn’t until after half time 48 minutes into the game that the Cards tied the game in a corner kick, when number 20 Brady Ulen was there and headed the ball right in the center of the net.

The slick, after-rain field was alive with the physical battle of the game, with slide tackles and falls, and both teams had eight yellow cards combined.

Five minutes after the second goal the Cardinals brought themselves back in the lead when player number 12, Taylor Haman made the goal assisted by Ulen.

The remaining goals were made in the next few minutes by Adam Talley, and Elias Herman dodged around two Chukar players to make an attempt that Ulen put home.

“They played really well and hit us when we weren’t ready,” Herman Said, “But second half we came out and we picked up where we left off in our other games.”
