Mica Peak Bookstore hosted fashion show

The NIC Mica Peak Exchange bookstore isn’t just the provider of textbooks and supplies. On Thursday they hosted a fashion show in the SUB featuring the many different looks that cardinal clothing can provide.

The show didn’t last long but gave the dining hall a spark of excitement for the short time poses were being stricken. Models of both genders strutted their stuff down the catwalk complete with dramatic poses, loud music and throwing shirts to the audience.

“It could be a huge takeoff in our modeling career,” said Simeon Drapeau, 18, Coeur d’ Alene, Mechanical Engineering.

All the clothing was donated by the manufacturers and some of the vendors include J. America, Russel Athletic and CI Sports. The clothing modeled included hoodies, shirts, bottoms and even backpacks.

The crowd was small but mighty cheering and whistling resounded throughout the entire event.

“It was fun,” said model Chris Moeglein, 20, Post Falls, general studies. “I like to throw myself into situations.”

Moeglein stepped in last minute but didn’t disappoint with his catwalk swag.

Each model was able to keep the clothing they modeled and all the clothes are available for purchase in the bookstore.
