NIC remembers

NIC held a celebration of life for staff member, Jennifer Henage, on Feb. 1, which would have been her fiftieth birthday.

Friends, family, fellow staff members, and students gathered together to share memories of how she not only contributed in many aspects of the college, but how her life also impacted individuals and left an imprint on people’s hearts. At the ceremony, faculty announced that there will be a scholarship dedicated in her honor.

Henage played a large role at NIC, and worked at least twenty four years at the college. She passed away on Dec. 29 and was a loss not only the college, but to the community as well.
