Bigfoot more realistic than the Bible

Abstract:
A popular band named The Darkness once proclaimed, "I believe in a thing called love." I know this to be real as I have a smoking hot girlfriend whom I love immensely. Not to mention, the Oregon State Beavers, another entity absorbing more of my heart's desire....

Mr. Donahue should be more impressed that he lives in a country that formed its laws to allow the freedom of thought, because by doing so one might question, answer and believe in those things they are compelled to.

He may find, by looking into that precious freedom of thought, that God had indeed had His hand in it, because as we see by "pushy" religions, they can be easily knocked down once the pressure is off. 90% of Muslims that have come to know Christ in oppressive nations have done so by meeting Him in dreams. THAT is cooler than Bigfoot eating a Mary toast.

If this is a college newspaper and Jake is a student there I really wonder what kind of school this can be that teaches their students that the "Bible says the Earth is but a millennia old" (a lie, the Bible teaches nothing about the age of the earth, it is not a teaching in the Bible) that "science has simply proven not true" Science has proven nothing about the age of the earth but has put forth observations for various theories only ... no "proof". "It continues with men walking on water, a man surviving the stomach of a giant whale and denouncing the existence of dinosaurs". What are you smoking? Only one man in the bible walked on water and he was divine, Jonah was swallowed by a great fish, the Bible does not say whale, and for your information whales are not fish - something you should have learned before attending college. And nowhere in the Bible does it denounce the existence of dinosaurs. There was no such term as dinosaur in any language when the Bible was written, and most likely dinosaurs were referred to as dragons in those times, and mentioned as such in the Bible.
"We have more proof for the possibility of Bigfoot than any known God." This statement is just totally idiotic and absurd. Some professor there at North Idaho College must know what the word "proof" means! Find him and have him explain it to you 'cause you do not have a clue what the word means. There is no proof of a bigfoot, that is why no one can prove he exists (make sense to you?) and as far as proof of any God, would you say an automobile is proof that there is an automobile manufacturer somewhere? Well there is only one God and all creation is the proof that he exists since there is no other provable explanation for creation and he has spoken the truth to us in the Bible - one day you will realize that it is true and he will judge you for your sins. In the mean time, if you are the best North Idaho College has to offer in journalism, well I guess I have to say I'm not surprised in view of the performance of today's main stream media. Unbelievable that you claim the Bigfoot cannot be proven fake, yet you think that Jesus Christ can be proven fake? You are a sick man, and I blame your professors at North Idaho for that. And Surprise, Surprise, I am Sasquatch and this is the closest you will ever come to finding me!

"The world exists....therefore it must have been made by some christian god...."

this is your argument? bigfoot is more credible than this. :)

Obviously this paper was a satire and I pity the people that read it and just don't get it. But if Jake was looking for a reaction then he got one from a bunch of people that would call a teenage rape victim a baby killer for trying to get an abortion.

No one would ever call a teenage rape victim a baby killer for trying to get an abortion, that's absurd. If she tries and actually gets an abortion well then a baby killers exactly what she is! What would you call her? Mother Theresa? There is always adoption, but people like you who have no respect for innocent human life, would rather destroy an innocent defenseless baby - you know some very famous people who have made great contributions to humanity were the result of rape - you don't know one of your ancestors might have been, and where would you be now if they thought like you. If this "opinion" article is a satire it is to say the least, poorly done and an embarrassment to the college. If you want to read a satire on Sasquatch go here http://www.thespoof.com/magazine/index.cfm?eID=3132

to: Sasquatch
So you would call a 13year old rape victim a baby killer for getting an abortion. Wow, you must lead a perfect life style. You better hope that people don't judge you by the same stick you judge others (especially god). The people that are first to judge are the first to sin and be judged (a thief thinks everyone is a thief). I bet you are a huge sinner if you would point your finger at an innocent child. Don't worry, I will let god decide your fate. Don't worry about bringing coat, hell is plenty hot:-)

Don't you all know that the sasquatch is Jesus? After thousands of years of body hair cultivation you have the magnificent holy result(Jesus/Sasquatch). Just to bring this story full circle, we need a couple of god fearing hunters to kill Sasquatch/Jesus, then we can all feel guilty for another couple thousand years.

Thank "God" we have individuals like Jake to stir up the thoughts of these right-wing followers of some sandal wearing hippie. His articles are obviously just for laughs people. Instead of getting upset and protesting on a tiny colleges website, go plant a tree or do something more useful with yourself. May Sasquatch Cristo bless you and keep you. Amen. RELAX NORTH IDAHO!

I would probably just laugh it off if I didn't think you actually hold to this line of logic. However if you really believe the Bible teaches that Earth is only a thousand years old then you might want to consider actually cracking open one of your textbooks - you paid for it you might as well read it.

With any luck..."the Bible", whichever version we are talking about, is not be something you buy to get a higher education. Unless of course you are a getting a degree in the stupids.

Obviously, opinions are just that - opinions. However, I cannot believe your school paper allowed you to print that. I work for a school paper as well, and we have some very controversial opinion pieces, but we never question or denounce religion or someone's culture (hillbillies). While clever and relatively well-written, your column appears a bit closed-minded. With closed-mindedness, you cross a line from opinions to beliefs.

Jake,
How is it possible you got a smoking hot girlfriend? Did she know before you wrote this column that your personal spiritual beliefs included such a volatile mix of imaginary idols as Bigfoot, Jesus, and the Easter Bunny. She's obviously a free thinker to see the good in you, or she's blinded by your wit and charm. Almost as likely as Oregon State beating USC.

It takes faith to follow both Jesus and Big Foot, think I'll stick with being a Christian over searching for a giant hairy beast. What does that really get you in the end anyway? It is unfortunate that you had to cross the line over to being offensive, took away from your article.
