Theater department to present 'Relatively Speaking'
Issue date: 4/14/08 Section: Entertainment
The NIC Theater Department will be opening its spring show, "Relatively Speaking," a British farce written by Alan Ayckbourn, April 24.
Originally "Relatively Speaking" was going to be a dinner theater show at the SUB. But, after complications arose with Food Services, the production was moved into Schuler Auditorium at Boswell Hall.
The show follows the young lovers Greg and Ginny to the country where Greg mistakenly confuses Ginny's secret lover with her father. In a quick coverup, after a series of misunderstandings and mistaken identities, the young couple leaves the country. Phillip and Sheila, the older couple, are left bewildered and confused by the end of the play.
NIC theater students Tim Strickland and Kelly Burke play Greg and Ginny. Guest actors Todd Jasmin and Aimee Kinsey play Phillip and Sheila.
"Relatively Speaking" will be showing April 24-26. The show opens at 7:30 p.m.
