The second-ranked North Idaho College women’s basketball team was defeated 70-68 by the College of Southern Idaho Saturday at Rolly Williams Court.

Georgia Stirton drove the lane splitting two defenders for a layup. Stirton scored 14 points and went four of five from the free throw line. Katie Buskey had 14 points as well and finished five of six from the free throw line. NIC was defeating CSI 33-32 at the half.

We didn’t play our game, or at the level we should’ve been playing,” said NIC head coach Chris Carlson.

Hannah Love scored a layup in the final minutes of the game putting NIC up 55-54. Love had 10 points and went two of four from the line. Angela Woods and Kabri Emerson both finished with 10 points.

CSI played a great game,” Carlson said. “You have to give them credit. They shot well, they scored well, they did what they needed to do. It was a tough game.”

Southern Idaho’s Patrice Toston scored 26 points, including seven of the team’s final 11 points.
